Assessment and Reporting

We have redsigned our assessment strategy at Key Stage 3 which now aligns more closely to the progression of our curriculum. Every department has a clear rationale of how and why their assessment strategy will give us as a school and your child a clear indication of how well they are navigating the curriculum in each subject area.

To your left, you will find all Key Stage 3 subjects’ overview of what is being taught and assessed over the three years. Please click the links to take you to particular subject areas.

You will also see how the progress descriptors for each subject explain what students will need to attain during each term to be awarded a particular descriptor- Emerging, developing, securing or excelling. Click on ‘What does progress look like?’ to find out more. There is also a brief overview of the curriculum for Key stage 4.
